China AdoptionChinese adoption agencies have many children waiting for loving families. Infants, toddlers, and many girls all await adoptive parents. There are also special needs children, boys and girls of all ages, who all need special care. Children all waiting for a mom and dad. Many Chinese children waiting for adoption have been abandoned, so little family history is available, but you can change that by being their new family and creating a happy home for them. Chinese adoption is offered to married couples, although a limited number of singles are accepted. You must be over 30 years old, free from any contagious disease and physically and mentally sound. The first step in Chinese Adoption is to contact the Immigration Naturalization Service for approval. INS approval usually takes about 3 months. A home study also has to be completed and then a dossier is sent to China for approval. In China documents are examined, verified and approved. This all takes time, about 10 or 11 months. That time may be shortened if the referral is for a special needs child. Once all the Chinese adoption paperwork is approved, an assignment of a child takes place, and a photo and medical work is completed and sent to the prospective parents. One or both prospective parents can then plan their trip to China to meet their new daughter or son. Expect to stay in China for about 2 weeks. During that time you will visit the orphanage and spend time getting to know and love your new daughter or son.
Chinese adoption agencies are many, and they are all ready and willing to provide detailed information, and offer additional services. This information includes the cost involved, what steps to take, and who can offer help after the adoption.
